And 6 ! for Arnaud de LieWith Helmet EKOI AR14 & EKOI TWENTY GlassesAt only 20 years old, he has just won his 6th victory this season after winning this weekend. "It's unbelievable, I've won the last three races, I can't believe it," said Arnaud De Lie. "What a team performance, once again. The team was really impressive today and drove hard for me all day, so I'm really happy to reward everyone with this victory." A fall in the last kilometers made the final chaotic, but De Lie remained focused on the sprint. "The Bora-Hansgrohe train was also very strong today and in the final I was able to position myself in the wheels of Sam Bennett thanks to the previous work of my teammates. I stayed focused and approached the last corner in 3rd position. I just had to fight until the finish. I really like hill finishes like these. I like these kind of power sprints, where it's all about watts ." For De Lie, this is the 3rd victory in 8 days, following previous GP victories Marcel Kint and Heistse Pijl. "During the Circuit de Wallonie I didn't feel very good but since then the form has only improved. To be honest, I felt even better today than on Saturday in the Heistse Pijl. And 3 for Arnaud De LieWith EKOÏ AR14 helmet & EKOÏ PREMIUM glassesThe rider from the Lotto Soudal team wins the Volta Limburg Classic. A race with more than 3000m of elevation in complicated weather conditions, the young 20-year-old Belgian did not fail. "The snowfall, the cold and the many meters in altitude made it a difficult day, but with a strong team at the start, we were aiming for victory today. The team did a great job again today" , says Arnaud De Lie. "Before the race, Andreas Kron and I were indicated as leaders, so we made our plan accordingly. Thomas De Gendt did a great job at the front of the peloton and Roger Kluge, Rüdiger Selig and Michael Schwarzmann also made sure to which we didn't waste energy. With Philippe Gilbert, we also had a good road captain who knew the roads by heart." "The four climbs of the Gulperberg were a crucial part of the race today. Maybe we couldn't win the race there but certainly lose it. In the final we were still well positioned with me, Andreas and Philippe. Normally it wasn't planned for me to go with a small group, but we changed tactics a bit, this way we started with six and I did everything I could to make it a sprint at the end. That I can finish it this way makes it even more beautiful", concludes Arnaud De Lie. C:PhotonewsVoir plus
