Nacer Bouhanni took 2nd place in the Italian classic Milan-Turin thanks to a huge job by Donavan Grondin and Clément Russo in the last kilometers.
“My teammates did a great job throughout the race in my favour, they always positioned me well, maybe even too well when negotiating the last corner. Clément probably would have had to delay coming out of the corner to put me in the wheel of Cavendish. I'm losing momentum and backing up when Morkov comes throwing with Cavendish speed from behind. Both start the sprint, I come back strong from behind in the last meters, but too late”.
A good omen for the rest of the season!
